V1 Injection Pen Pilot Orders: Plan the Production Handover

Use a V1 injection pen pilot order to align configuration, inspection records, packing requirements and issue resolution before routine supply.

V1 Injection Pen Pilot Orders: Plan the Production Handover

Give the pilot order a defined purpose

A V1 injection pen pilot order can help a buyer review how an agreed configuration is supplied, identified and documented before routine purchasing begins. Its value comes from the questions it answers, not simply from ordering a smaller quantity.

Define the pilot objectives with procurement, engineering and quality colleagues. Examples include checking the production configuration against the approved sample, confirming the packing arrangement and reviewing the shipment records. Do not treat a successful commercial shipment as a substitute for unresolved technical evaluation.

Freeze the configuration used for the pilot

Identify the V1 model, specification revision, approved artwork and packaging version in the order documentation. Ask PLZ to state whether the pilot uses the intended production components and processes, and to identify any differences that could affect the review.

Create a short responsibility record: who approves configuration changes, who receives inspection information and who decides whether an issue is closed. Agree on the point after which a requested change may affect cost or timing. This prevents an informal email about a new logo from silently changing an otherwise approved order.

If several colors or packaging variants are included, define the quantity and identification of each. Ensure that receiving staff can connect each unit or batch to the correct order variant.

Prepare receiving checks before shipment

Agree on the information expected with the shipment, such as packing details and any contracted inspection records. The receiving team should know the expected quantities, identifiers and reference documents before the cartons arrive.

At receipt, record discrepancies against the agreed requirements. Separate transport damage, quantity differences, appearance observations and technical questions. Photographs should identify the affected sample or carton and show the issue clearly, without exposing unrelated customer information.

The responsible quality team should choose the inspection method and acceptance criteria appropriate to the project. Avoid inventing a sampling rule after the goods have arrived simply to reach an acceptance decision.

Use evidence to decide the next order

Maintain an issue log with an identifier, observation, evidence, owner, action and closure decision. A replacement sample may resolve one concern without closing every open item. Record what changed and whether the controlling specification needs a new revision.

Before moving to routine supply, review the pilot results and confirm the baseline for repeat orders. Request updated commercial terms if quantities, configuration or packaging have changed.
