Define what the package contains
Packaging discussions for a V1 injection pen should start with an item list. A presentation box, an individual protective pack and a shipping carton serve different purposes. Naming only a box style leaves important questions about contents, handling and shipping unanswered.
List the exact V1 model and every item supplied with each unit. Confirm whether the order includes only empty pen hardware, additional components, instructions or other accessories. Do not design packaging that implies a drug-filled product when the purchase scope is hardware only.
Write separate unit-pack and shipping requirements
For the individual pack, state the proposed arrangement of the pen and any agreed accessories. Ask the supplier to confirm available materials, insert designs and the dimensions of the actual product configuration. Record the surfaces that should be protected from contact or movement during normal handling.
For the shipping carton, agree on the number of units, internal arrangement and identification needed by the receiving team. Obtain proposed carton dimensions and gross weight before finalizing freight assumptions. If a distributor needs mixed colors or separate stock-keeping units, specify how those variants must be separated and identified.
A useful packing brief connects each requirement to a reason: prevent loose accessories, distinguish versions or make receiving checks easier. Avoid prescribing an insert solely from an image of an unrelated product.
Control packaging text and artwork
Supply approved text and artwork in one revision-controlled package. Identify the responsible reviewer for destination-market labeling and instructions. The person approving box color may not be the person authorized to approve product information.
Check that model references, quantities, language versions and any identifiers agree with the order. Do not copy certification marks, drug names or performance statements from another package without verifying their applicability. A packaging supplier's ability to print a statement is not evidence that the statement is appropriate.
Review a packed sample before the bulk order
Request a sample representing the proposed packing arrangement. Review item count, fit, appearance, legibility and the ease of removing and replacing components. Agree with the responsible team whether any additional transport evaluation is needed for the intended distribution route.
Document the approved configuration and any open points. Confirm packaging MOQ, artwork charges and whether packaging approval changes the production schedule.
