V1 Injection Pen Export Orders: Prepare the Logistics Handover

Describe the shipment accurately

A smooth logistics handover begins with a consistent description of what is being shipped. For a V1 injection pen hardware order, the commercial description, packing information and purchase order should identify the same model and supply scope.

Confirm whether the shipment contains empty pen hardware and which components or accessories are included. Do not describe hardware as a drug-filled finished product merely because a similar pen can appear in a therapy-related marketing context. Have the responsible logistics and import specialists review the description for the actual shipment.

Collect packing data before booking

Ask PLZ for the proposed number of cartons, units per carton, external dimensions and gross and net weights. Establish whether these are preliminary estimates or confirmed packing data. Update the freight request when final figures become available.

For an order containing multiple colors or packaging versions, request a carton-level breakdown. The receiving warehouse should be able to identify each variant without opening every package. Agree on the shipment reference and carton identification used in both the packing list and the receiving record.

Separate any sample shipment from the later production order in the logistics record. Their quantities and packing arrangements may differ, so one shipment's figures should not be reused automatically.

Assign responsibilities and document checks

Record who arranges collection, who books freight, who prepares the agreed documents and who receives arrival notices. Confirm the delivery point and the charges included in the commercial offer. Avoid leaving both buyer and supplier to assume that the other has appointed a carrier.

Before shipment, have the appropriate parties check consignee details and document consistency. Classification, destination-market entry requirements and any applicable documentation need case-specific review by the responsible specialists; a general blog cannot determine them for every V1 project.

Share only the operational contact information needed for the shipment, and keep changes in consignee or destination details within a controlled approval process.

Plan the receiving handover

Provide the warehouse with the order reference, expected quantities, variant breakdown and agreed packing information. Define where discrepancies will be recorded and who will notify PLZ if something differs from the order.

Keep delivery confirmation separate from product acceptance. The arrival of cartons does not close unresolved inspection or technical questions.
