V1 Injection Pen Interfaces: Prepare a Cartridge Review Data Pack

Prepare a structured data exchange for V1 injection pen interface review without treating nominal cartridge volume as complete compatibility evidence.

V1 Injection Pen Interfaces: Prepare a Cartridge Review Data Pack

Begin with an identified component combination

A V1 injection pen interface discussion needs two clearly identified sides: the proposed pen configuration and the components being considered for use with it. A message saying compatible with my cartridge gives the supplier little information to review.

This article describes a procurement data handover, not a compatibility determination. The responsible engineering team must decide what evaluation and evidence are appropriate for the actual combination. A catalog statement about cartridge volume should not be treated as a complete approval.

Provide references and controlled technical information

Identify the selected V1 product page and requested configuration. For the proposed cartridge or other interface component, provide the manufacturer reference, part number and available drawing revision. Ask the technical reviewers which dimensions, tolerances and material information they need, rather than guessing that one measurement will resolve the question.

Keep the source of each document visible. A drawing issued by a component supplier is different from a dimension measured informally from one sample. If both are available, label them accordingly and ask how any discrepancy should be investigated.

Where technical documents are confidential, agree on the approved sharing route and scope before transferring them. Do not send unrelated project files simply because they are stored in the same folder.

Track questions and sample identities

Create a review record with the question, relevant component references, document revision, reviewer and response. Distinguish a preliminary assessment from an evaluation completed against agreed criteria.

If samples are requested, label each set and record which drawing or configuration it represents. Keep a mapping between the shipped samples and the review record. Without that link, feedback can accidentally be applied to a different component revision.

Describe observations precisely. A component appearing to fit is an observation from that sample, not evidence that the complete system satisfies every project requirement.

Record the outcome and remaining work

At the end of the review, list the assessed combination, evidence considered, limitations and open evaluations. Update the project specification only after the responsible reviewers approve the outcome.

If a component or pen configuration changes later, ask whether the earlier review remains applicable. Start a V1 interface discussion with PLZ by identifying the selected model and the technical information available: https://www.plzmedical.com/en/contact
