Begin with the selected V1 model
A logo file alone is not a complete V1 injection pen branding brief. The supplier also needs to know which model and surface will carry the mark, how the finished appearance will be judged, and who can approve changes. Defining those details before sample preparation can reduce avoidable rounds of revision.
PLZ lists a metal reusable V1 model and invites discussion of color options. Availability of a particular marking process, finish or color should be confirmed for the selected configuration. A previous customization example does not automatically establish what can be supplied for a new order.
Provide artwork that can be reviewed
Send the original logo artwork in an editable vector format where available, together with a PDF reference showing its intended appearance. Include the approved brand name, orientation and any minimum spacing rules. Ask the supplier which file formats and artwork requirements it supports before preparing final production files.
Identify the proposed marking area on a model-specific image or drawing. Give dimensions and reference points rather than saying only centered on the pen. Ask the technical team to review whether the proposed mark could interfere with scales, instructions, identification or other required information.
For color, provide a physical reference or an agreed color standard and specify whether it applies to the body, cap, printed mark or packaging. A screen image can communicate a concept, but it should not be the sole acceptance reference for the finished surface.
Separate a mockup from an approval sample
Use a digital mockup to confirm layout and spelling. Use an agreed physical reference to review the appearance that matters to the order. Record the sample identifier, artwork version, finish description and approved marking position. Note any differences that still need correction.
For example, a buyer may accept the logo size while requesting a different body finish. The approval record should keep those two decisions separate. A general reply such as looks good can leave the supplier uncertain about which requirement is closed.
Release one controlled artwork package
Before production, issue one final artwork package with a revision identifier and approval date. Withdraw superseded versions from the production discussion and ask PLZ to confirm which version is included in the quotation or order specification.
Ask whether each color or logo version creates a separate minimum quantity, sample charge or lead-time step. Keep technical configuration approval separate from branding approval.
